Wellesley Book Club - North
We’re excited to have enough interest from people in the Boulder-Lafayette-Louisville-Longmont axis to start a book club. The organizational meeting will be held at the home of Mary Bartholomay Raynolds '74 after Labor Day.
If you want to join the group, please follow this link to choose dates/times for our first meeting, provide contact information and suggest a book (if you want).
Wellesley Club of Colorado – 70s Decade Group – UPDATE
Fourteen ladies from the ’70 – ’79 graduating classes gathered at the Denver Art Museum on Saturday, August 20th. The group enjoyed a private docent-led tour of the Women of Abstract Expressionism exhibit and a delightful lunch full of reminiscing, renewing old acquaintances and making new friends. What a fun group of alumnae! We hope to continue to meet on a regular, quarterly basis and invite others from our decade to join us in the future. Pictures will be posted on the website.
Perhaps someone from another decade would like to organize that group to begin meetings. Barb von der Heydt has volunteered to assist with the e-mail communications to your group. Contact her at email@example.com.
Dues-paying members receive benefits throughout the year including a printed directory, a formal name-tag at events, and reduced admission to several events. Dues allows WCC to host multiple events over the course of the year as well as build up a scholarship fund for current Wellesley College students from Colorado.
Cost: $25 ($10 for Classes '12 to '16)
There are two ways to pay your dues:
1- You can pay your 2016-17 dues electronically by completing this google form (a member of the WCC Board will then send you a paypal link to complete your transaction).
2- You can pay your 2016-17 dues by sending a check made out to Wellesley Club of Colorado to:
Sarah Ohle Leibrandt, WCC Treasurer
494 Briggs Place, Superior, CO 80027
If you’d like to sponsor a Book Award to recognize a high school junior girl, include that information in the google form or an additional $25 in your check, for the cost of the book. You can also sponsor a “winter care package” for a current Colorado student at Wellesley for a $10 donation. These are sent just before finals period fall semester.
